Formatting instructions for full papers
Formatting instructions for papers to be included in the PCST archive.
- File type: PDF: maximum 2 MB. other file types are not accepted by the upload system
- Language: English
- Length: 4–6 pages (including tables and figures), 10 pages maximum
- References: APA citation style
- Footnotes: Avoid, if possible
Use the provided Word template to prepare the paper and save it as PDF.
If it is not feasible to use the template, format the paper using the attached sample pdf-file as a model, and observe the following rules:
Basic formatting rules if you can't use the template
- Page margins: top: 2.5cm; bottom, left and right: 2.0cm
- Font type: "Arial" or similar for all text
- Line spacing: 1.15 lines (or 12pt for 11pt text)
- Use a space of 18pt between headlines and text, and of 10pt between all other paragraphs except references
- Title: 14pt, bold, centered
- Author: 11pt, centered (author name: bold)
- Plain text: 11pt, justified
- Captions: 11pt, centered, left and right indent: 2cm
- Reference: 10pt, justified, hanging indent: 1.25cm
- Footnote: 10pt, justified
- Page number: 11pt, centered
- Include the reference "15th International Public Communication of Science and Technology Conference (PCST 2018), Dunedin, New Zealand, 3-6 April 2018, https://pcst.co/archive/" as page header (10pt).
